Emily Auckland
Programme Director

Emily manages the Chapter Zero team and strategy to make sure we enable our community of non-executive directors to take the climate challenge into the boardroom and effectively engage in the topic with their businesses.

Emily is a partnership and engagement professional with considerable experience in the climate and environment sector, having worked with governments, businesses and NGOs both in the UK and internationally. She co-founded and was Network Director of the UKSSD, a cross-sector initiative aiming to accelerate progress on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the UK. Over five years she grew UKSSD into an influential and thriving network which has since been integrated in the UN Global Compact Network UK programme. She worked for award-winning environmental charity Bioregional on their project development and advocacy during the international negotiations for the SDGs and the Paris Climate Agreement. Earlier in her career she also held roles in a variety of NGOs in the UK. 

Emily has an MSc in Sustainable Development, a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, is a Fellow of the RSA and an edie Sustainability Leader of the Year 2019 finalist.
