Karen Hoffa
Programme Manager

Karen manages and develops our climate governance programme, maintaining and expanding the tools, resources and assistance that we offer our community of non-executive directors.

Karen has had a versatile career, featuring international, cross-sector roles in financial and project management. Before joining the Chapter Zero team she completed a Master’s degree, and prior to that was a Finance Manager at Tideway, the company delivering the £4bn London supersewer, setting up many of their financial reporting processes. She also played an important role in the demerger negotiations between Tideway and Thames Water. During her career Karen worked with BP/Castrol on the roll out of a global IT project and on their Euro2012 and World Cup Sponsorship Programmes in South Africa and Brazil. She also project managed a successful proposal for EU funding with a consortium of scientists, worked as a forensic consultant for Deloitte and co-owned and managed an IT retail store. Alongside work, Karen has led and participated in numerous community and environmental volunteer projects. 

Karen has an MSc in Sustainable Development and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Science.
