In 2025, Chapter Zero is launching a UK Financial Services programme for non-executive directors (NEDs), recognizing the specific and complex requirements of the financial sector related to climate change.

As part of this new programme, Chapter Zero is partnering with ERM and the Green Finance Institute (GFI) to run an exclusive in-person masterclass on Tuesday 14 January 2025 for NEDs in Financial Services. The masterclass will explore adopting a value-led approach to accelerate and scale decarbonisation and how climate transition plans can enhance your bottom line.

Designed to help board members unlock the strategic potential of climate transition planning, the session will bring together a community of directors in financial institutions to enhance peer learning and facilitate dialogue to accelerate action at board level.

Please note this event is exclusively for non-executive directors.

In this masterclass, you will:

  • Discover how non-executive directors can catalyse the actions required to prepare a transition plan that aligns with accepted good practice and emerging regulatory norms globally.
  • Learn how to refine and prioritise climate transition planning efforts to achieve portfolio goals.
  • Uncover the critical elements of decarbonisation success – from integration to financial planning and business transformation to harnessing enablers and overcoming implementation barriers.
