Sustainability Regulation Outlook 2026: shaping growth, value and resilience

In 2026, economic headwinds and geopolitical factors continue to influence the sustainability policy landscape, but have not deterred European policymakers from advancing the sustainability transition. New regulations and fiscal incentives are being introduced, even as regulatory simplification initiatives target existing rules.

Policymakers view competitiveness and sustainability are seen as mutually reinforcing. Escalating climate events and geopolitical risks highlight the critical need for supply chain and energy resilience. Following COP 30's emphasis on private sector involvement, businesses are prioritising embedding sustainability into core decision-making for growth, value, and resilience.

In this webinar, Chapter Zero and the Deloitte Academy will be joined by a panel of speakers, including Orna NiChionna, Chapter Zero Fellow, Chair of the Eden Project and Senior Independent Director at Burberry Group, and Amaury Chazeau-Guibert, Policy Coordinator in the Secretariat-General of the European Commission, to discuss the regulatory shifts, determine strategic responses, and uncover valuable business opportunities.
