Catherine May
Catherine is an experienced Chair and non-executive director whose board roles have spanned commercial, charitable and not for profit organisations. She is currently Chair of Shoreham Port, one of a handful of designated eco-ports in the UK, and Chair of the ENO Trust. She has also served as SID and RemCo Chair on the board of South Staffs/Cambridge Water plc and as RemCo Chair on the board of Pensions UK.
Having served as Corporate Affairs Director on the Executive Committees of three major FTSE plcs, RELX, Centrica and SABMiller, Catherine spent much of her executive leadership career championing long-term, sustainable approaches to asset management. She has continued to advocate for a purpose-led approach to business in her work as a non-executive, and to ensure that the organisations she works with are ambitious in their approach to sustainability.
Alongside her work as non-executive, Catherine is the Principal of a leadership development advisory business, working with executive leaders and teams to enhance their performance.
Catherine has been a member of Chapter Zero since 2019, using Chapter Zero resources and materials to help frame sustainability goals at the businesses she has served as a non-executive director.
