UK Sustainability TAC issues final recommendations

On 5 December 2024, the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), in its role as the Secretariat to the UK Sustainability Disclosure Technical Advisory Committee (the TAC) published the Committee’s final recommendations recommending endorsement of the first two IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards for use in the UK.

This report includes:
-The TAC opinion that IFRS 1 and 2 would be conducive to the long-term public good in the UK.
- Endorsement criteria for the TAC’s technical assessment, including the criteria for amendments.
- A table summary of the TAC’s endorsement recommendations on prioritised technical areas.
