Climate governance through a legal lens: lawyers’ insights into what boards need to know about climate and nature
Sign up for this eventLegal Charter 1.5, in partnership with Chapter Zero, is hosting a panel discussion during London Climate Action Week, bringing together non-executive directors, general counsels, senior executives and legal professionals to explore what effective climate governance looks like at board level, with a particular focus on legal and fiduciary considerations.
It will focus on the critical questions board members should be asking their legal teams, and highlight where legal expertise can offer deeper insight – from navigating evolving regulatory expectations to identifying emerging risks and opportunities related to climate and nature.
The panel discussion, followed by audience Q&A and networking drinks, will feature Helen Bowdren, Partner at Dentons; Alex Tamlyn, Senior Partner and Board Member at DLA and NED at British & American Investment Trust; Selina Sagayam, NED at The Renewables Infrastructure Group and Sequoia Economic Infrastructure Income Fund; and Wangui Kaniaru, Co-Chair of the IBA Law Firm Management Committee and an Expert Adviser to the Oxford Net Zero Policy Monitor.
