Chapter Zero member Survey 2026

The Chapter Zero member survey enables us to measure our impact. It is conducted annually, pro bono, by Kantar in two parts: qualitative and quantitative. We use all this information to measure our impact and report on it to our funders, develop our member offer and, importantly, communicate with members across our entire network. We know surveys take time which is why we have reduced it significantly this year. We are very grateful for all your feedback, either in the qualitative or quantitative parts of the survey, or preferably both.

Chapter Zero member QUALITATIVE survey

We have created a short QUALITATIVE member survey for 2026. It asks a few simple questions that help us understand the action you are taking on climate in your boardrooms.

Chapter Zero member QUANTITATIVE survey

We have shortened the QUANTITATIVE member survey for 2026. We know your time is precious so we have shortened it and focused on the most pertinent areas.

We are grateful for your support.

A new age of enlightenment

Jonathan Hall, Managing Partner of Kantar's Sustainable Transformation Practice (which undertakes Chapter Zero’s annual member survey) calls it ‘mega disruption’. He considers the evidence for mega global economic and social disruption, plots a path through it, suggests how boards might think about it, and puts purpose and innovation at the centre of brand resilience.

Brand, purpose, vision and climate

Brand and communications are intrinsic to climate action. In this series of videos, Vicky Moffatt spoke to Rita Clifton CBE, Portfolio Chair and Non-executive Director, about businesses maintaining momentum on purpose, effective communications, building vision through pre-competitive and radical collaboration, empathy and courageous leadership, as well as communicating creatively to spark action.

Member survey 2025: climate remains a priority but requires fresh thinking

Kantar conducts an annual pro bono quantitative survey of the Chapter Zero membership to uncover members’ attitudes to climate and demonstrate Chapter Zero’s impact, this includes depth interviews with Chairs and NEDs in FTSE 350 organisations. This year’s findings show encouraging progress in terms of boardroom leadership for the transition to net zero, as well as demonstrating the tangible impact of Chapter Zero itself.
