Climate litigation: from legal risk to strategic imperative

Climate litigation is reshaping the ways in which companies think about risk. There can be implications for corporate governance, investment, disclosures, value chains and market access.

On Tuesday 23 June, Baker McKenzie and Chapter Zero will bring together a select group of board directors and senior leaders to explore the implications of increased climate litigation and what it means for boardroom conversations.

Held during London Climate Action Week, this invitation-only event will examine emerging legal and regulatory developments across jurisdictions, shifting expectations from investors and policymakers, and the growing importance of governance frameworks that support long-term resilience and strategic stewardship. Participants will also discuss how boards can strengthen oversight of climate-related legal and reputational risks, identify emerging areas of exposure, and respond to increasing expectations around transparency, accountability and fiduciary duties, all under the Chatham House Rule.

The event will draw on the recent report from Baker McKenzie and World Economic Forum: Climate Litigation as Strategic Business Risk.

Event speakers will be confirmed shortly.

Please note this event is invitation-only, and places are limited. Please contact us at events@chapterzero.org.uk to request an invitation to attend.
