Introducing Chapter Zero’s newest board members

Chapter Zero is pleased to welcome three new board members, each bringing a wealth of skills and varied expertise.

A growing community that has recently passed the 2,000-member milestone and is approaching its third anniversary, Chapter Zero has three new board members.

Collective expertise

I am delighted to welcome Aidan Lisser, Jonathan Newby and Silke Goldberg to the Chapter Zero Board. They each have highly relevant experience to add to our collective expertise and bring new and varied perspectives. Chapter Zero is going through an exciting phase, with the potential of our members growing daily. The strength of our own board is an important part of moving the network forward.

Aidan is an experienced non-executive director within the financial services sector. He currently serves on the boards of JP Morgan Emerging Markets Trust plc where he is chair-designate, Henderson International Income Trust plc and The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc. He also sits on the Marketing Ambassadors’ forum for the Association of Investment Companies and is a charity trustee. Before transitioning into financial services, he worked for Unilever in various marketing roles for over 20 years.


Jonathan is the Bursar and a Governing Body Fellow of Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge. He spent over 20 years in the magazine and journal publishing sector. During this time Jonathan worked with consumer, business and academic publishers including IPC Media, Elsevier Science and United Business Media, and published titles such as New Scientist and The Lancet. Jonathan moved to the Science Museum Group in 2009 where he was Chief Operating Officer.


Silke is a partner at Herbert Smith Freehills with over 20 years’ experience of working in the energy sector, advising clients in relation to power and climate change issues internationally. She is the Global Head of ESG for HSF and has a long-standing interest in renewable energy and climate change, having helped to set up the Legal Response Initiative in 2009 where she has served as the chair of the Board of Trustees.
