Welcoming Don Robert as Chapter Zero’s newest supporting Chair
Climate risks pose threats to ecosystems, societies, markets and to companies. It also represents significant opportunities for investment and growth, working together to drive an industrial shift to a net zero economy. By becoming a supporting Chair of Chapter Zero I want to share experiences and use my voice to support non-executive directors through the transition their businesses have to make.
Don Robert, Chair of LSEG
Our team of Chairs has a vast range of experience and we are pleased to announce that Don Robert will be taking the position of supporting Chair and adding to our collective expertise.
Don is the Chair of London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG), a company which has recently committed to ambitious, SBTi-aligned climate targets designed to limit global temperature rise to 1.5° and will become a member of the United Nations Climate Change ‘Race to Zero’. He has a strong track record in the global financial services sector and a deep understanding of technology, data and analytics.
Julie Baddeley, Chair of the Chapter Zero Board, welcomed the news saying: "Don’s experience and leadership will be invaluable to Chapter Zero's growing community of non-executive directors, as the UK prepares to host COP26 and investors take an increasing interest in companies' strategies for dealing with climate change."
Don is joining Ruth Cairnie, Richard Gillingwater, Mark Tucker and David Tyler as Chapter Zero’s Supporting Chairs at an influential time where there is a growing momentum for the importance of achieving net zero and the role businesses and their boards play in this.
